Los Angeles, USA – Para badminton is set to feature 120 athletes across 16 medal events at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, maintaining the same athlete quota as the previous Paris 2024 Games. This decision underscores the sport’s established presence and popularity within the Paralympic movement.
The LA28 Paralympic Games, scheduled to take place from August 15-27, 2028, will see Para badminton as one of 23 sports, contributing to a total athlete quota of 4,480.
Mirroring the format of Paris 2024, the LA28 Para badminton competition will comprise seven men’s events, seven women’s events, and two mixed doubles events. This breaks down further into 12 singles events, two doubles events, and two mixed doubles events, offering a comprehensive program for athletes across various classifications.
The USC Sports Center has been confirmed as the venue for the Para badminton competition, providing a dedicated stage for the world’s top Para badminton players.
