Toronto, Canada – June 16, 2025 – The SmartCentres PSA Squash Tour Finals 24/25, set to make its Canadian debut in Toronto, has been hit with a major withdrawal. World Champion and World No. 2, Nour ElSherbini, has announced her regrettable decision to pull out of the prestigious season-ending tournament due to a persistent shoulder injury.
ElSherbini’s absence opens the door for USA’s Olivia Weaver, who will now step in as her replacement and lead Group B. Weaver faces a challenging draw, set to compete against Amanda Sobhy, Sivasangari Subramaniam, and Amina Orfi in what promises to be fiercely contested group stage matches.
In Group A, Belgium’s Tinne Gilis has been elevated to a top-four seed, now positioned behind World No. 1 Nouran Gohar. Japan’s debutant Satomi Watanabe and late entry Georgina Kennedy round out the group, ensuring an exciting series of encounters.
The SmartCentres PSA Squash Tour Finals, featuring the top eight players who qualified through the “Road to Tour Finals” standings, will be held at Toronto’s Revival Film Studios. This marks a historic occasion as Canada hosts the tournament for the very first time.
Group stage action is scheduled to commence on Monday, June 23, at 15:00 (GMT-5). Eight matches will be played daily for the first three days, concluding the group stage on June 25. Match timings for the group stage are set for 15:00, 15:30, 16:15, 16:45, 18:30, 19:00, 20:15, and 21:00.
The tension will build towards the semi-finals, which are slated for 17:30 on Thursday, June 26. The grand finals will then take place at 19:00 on Friday, June 27.
All matches will be held at Revival Film Studios and will be streamed live globally on SQUASHTV. Additionally, the semi-finals and finals will be broadcast live by PSA’s various broadcast partners. For those wishing to experience the action firsthand, tickets are available for purchase here.
