Sinner, Zverev, and Medvedev Lead Star-Studded Halle Entry List

Halle, Germany – The Terra Wortmann Open, a premier ATP 500 grass-court event, is set to welcome a formidable lineup of tennis stars, with reigning champion Jannik Sinner headlining the entry list. The tournament, which was re-categorized as an ATP 500 in 2015, promises a thrilling week of action on the grass courts of Halle.

Jannik Sinner, currently the world No. 1 in the ATP Rankings, will return to defend the title he secured last year, marking his first grass-court triumph. He will be joined by a strong contingent of top players, including two-time former Halle finalist Alexander Zverev, who boasts an impressive 18-8 record at the event.

Former champions Ugo Humbert (2021) and Hubert Hurkacz (2022) are also confirmed participants, adding to the depth of the field. Additionally, former Top 10 stalwarts Andrey Rublev and Daniil Medvedev are set to compete, further elevating the level of competition.

The Terra Wortmann Open has a rich history, crowning six German winners since its inaugural edition in 1993: Michael Stich (1994), Nicolas Kiefer (1999), David Prinosil (2000), Tommy Haas (2009 & 2012), Philipp Kohlschreiber (2011), and Florian Mayer (2016).1 Tennis legend Roger Federer also holds a special place in the tournament’s history, having secured a remarkable tenth title in Halle in 2019.
