BOSS Open: German Stars Take Center Stage on Packed Tuesday

Stuttgart, Germany – The BOSS Open is set for a thrilling Tuesday, with a packed schedule of no fewer than 12 matches promising a full day of top-tier tennis action. Fans will be eager to witness the highly anticipated first appearances of several local heroes, including rising star Justin Engel, seasoned campaigner Yannick Hanfmann, and Germany’s formidable doubles duo, Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz.

Play kicks off bright and early at 11 a.m. on all three courts. Center Court will see an exciting opening match between Canada’s Denis Shapovalov and France’s Arthur Rinderknech. Following this, all eyes will turn to German prodigy Justin Engel, as the 17-year-old world number 281 makes his highly anticipated grass court debut. He’ll face a challenging test against Australian qualifier James Duckworth, currently ranked 94th globally.

The evening on Center Court promises more fireworks, with French fan favorite Gaël Monfils slated to close out the day (not before 5 p.m.) against American seventh seed Alex Michelsen.

Colosseum Court will also feature compelling matchups, starting with an all-qualifier clash between Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann and Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics. Later in the day, the formidable German doubles team of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz will take to the court, closing out the second match against the Italian pairing of Matteo Arnaldi and Lorenzo Sonego.

Beyond the German contingent, several other notable players are scheduled to make their first appearance in front of the Stuttgart crowd on Tuesday. These include the charismatic Italian Fabio Fognini, promising US youngster Learner Tien, and American star Taylor Fritz, who will get his first taste of grass-court action in doubles alongside the Czech Jiri Lehecka.
